Choosing the optimal plastic waste management system in the city of Irkutsk

In the modern world, the amount of waste generated is increasing every year, in particular plastic waste, which for the most part is not recycled due to the established waste management system. This article analyzed the problems associated with the generation of waste and subsequent problems associated with the collection and disposal of waste. This article provides calculations related to the generation of waste and the average daily accumulation of waste, as well as calculations of the required number of garbage trucks for plastic waste. The amount of plastic waste possible for separate collection in the Oktyabrsky district of the city of Irkutsk has been determined. The need for the introduction of a widespread separate collection of waste is indicated. The factors influencing the reduction of anthropogenic impact on the environment are indicated.
