The article is devoted to the substantiation for expediency of greenhouse gas emissions predictive modeling technology development for selection the regional development optimal strategy. The paper discusses the concept of greenhouse gas emissions and their place in the concept of sustainable development, their international classification and reporting standards, as well as the relations legal regulation basics associated to the greenhouse gas emissions limitation.
