On the territory of the Krasnoyarsk suburban green area a number of high nature conservation value forests, performing such ecological tasks as: the air purification, the volatile production source, the population health improvement, the organization of recreational areas, the biodiversity conservation, the protection of the Yenisei river, preventing wind and water erosion, the source of berries and mushrooms etc.
