The authors investigated the samples of pathological material from 47 domestic gooses with clinical presentations of phallus, cloaca and oviduct inflammation from two goose's farms of Russia and one farm of Ukraine. It is known, that in chicken similar manifestations may be caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum, but in gooses - as result of infection by opportunistic pathogenic bacteria from Neisseria and Candida genus, and also Mycoplasma sp. 1220 - recently described opportunistic pathogenic gooses mycoplasma. By the PCR method the authors do not revealed M. gallisepticum in studied birds. However, they find out the specific amplicons of rpoB, dnaE, fusA, pyk Mycoplasma sp. 1220 genes. The results of sequencing of these amplicons permit to detect 98-99 % of its homology with sequences from GenBank for Mycoplasma sp. 1220 - mycoplasma, isolated and identified early in domestic gooses with clinical pathological presentations of reproductive system in Hungary (this microorganism has no specific name for the present). The given investigation presents the first occurrence of isolation and identification of Mycoplasma sp. 1220 in domestic gooses on territory Russian Federation and Ukraine.
