What are the reasons for the reduction of sound insulation of windows

Article experimentally and theoretically investigated the influence of resonances flexural vibrations in glasses on the propagation of sound through the windows. The presence of peaks in the spectra of vibration of glasses confirmed the presence in glasses flexural resonances. Analysis of received calculation data showed that many of the calculated values of resonant frequencies of flexural vibrations of glass are in the frequency ranges minimal conditional insulation in windows. Studies have confirmed the significance of the influence of resonant phenomena in the elements of glass windows of the passage through the sound.
