The higher militia education in the Russian Far East at the turn of the XXI century: historiography of the subject

The article analyses the historiography of the higher militia education in the Russian Far East at the turn of the XXI century. The author summarizes the main areas of the research in the domestic historiography, describes in general the works of Far East researchers. It is concluded that the higher militia education in the state system of vocational education is studied unevenly, there is a need for deeper examination of the historical experience of specialized higher schools in training of militia personnel. The scientific critical approach to the assessment of the available researches and the search for new sources are also required.
