Mutual adaptation of migrants and local population as the object of social management

In recent years migration processes are becoming more and more large-scale, and enter into all layers of social life. Millions of people living at the post-Soviet territories become forced migrants and refugees. Getting into the new socio-cultural environment, migrants face a great number of various problems, including the problem of interaction with indigenous population. Mutual adaptation of migrants and local population is the process, managing of which occurs on several levels: information supportability, migration policy and direct solution of migrant’s problems. Information supportability is one of the key levels of social management including the formation of migrant’s image in mass media. The article gives the data concerning the content-analysis of communication media in order to study the coverage of migration processes in the regional and federal communication media.
