Interaction of provincial board and bodies of public management in the sphere of charity in the light of the new policeman of the legislation of 1870

The article is devoted to formation of the system of urban government in Russia from the 1840s. The authors pay special attention to the legal foundation of interaction of the provincial board and self-governmental bodies in the sphere of charity based on the “City Status” of 1870 which created a new system of urban self-government in Russia.
