The paper considers the process of complementarity and mutual penetration of environmental standards and religious cultures. The chain of cognitive activities i.e. pre-scientific – non-scientific – scientific has been observed. The authors have come to the conclusion concerning the necessity of the development of relevant directions of confessional theology and religion oriented philosophy that will not only attract many centuries of spiritual guidance, but also will contribute to the integration of modern society in the way of solution of vital important problem - the environmental crisis.
