Relationship of the church and the Russian state: status quo and prospects

The article deals with issues of Russian church and state relationship. From the perspective of the political science the author recounts in brief their genesis and dialectics, discusses current state and Russian specific features of the church and state cooperation, and names principles of their collaboration for the moment. Also, the prospects of the further relationship between the Russian Orthodox Church and the state are under consideration.
