The relationship between the head of the Russian Orthodox Church and the Soviet power in 1917-1922

The article studies the relationship between the church and the state in the first years of Soviet power. The paper reveals the attitude of Patriarch Tikhon as the head of the church towards government innovations, as well as analyzes his compromise policy on withdrawal of church values. The author considers selling the church valuables abroad.
