Interrelationship between state and religion: the main theoretical and methodological approaches

The article is devoted to the analysis of the main methodological approaches to research of a problem of interrelationship between state and religion in society. The objective of this article is in the specification of categorical apparatus, and also in the subsequent generalization and classification of the existing typologies. The main theoretical approaches and views on systematization of relations between the state and the religion are considered, the main criteria for their definition are revealed. It is noted that the different types of the interrelation can be developed between the state and different confessions. All these facts allow the author to draw a conclusion on necessity of creation of certain directions in the arrangement of the state-religious relations, which will take into account religion as a contradictory phenomenon in the life of the Russian society. The systematization and classification of the theoretical and methodological approaches play the important role in solving this problem.
