Relationships of Russia and China in conditions of folding new world order

An analysis of Russian-Chinese relations has been carried out since the end of the Cold War to the present on the basis of official documents and expert assessments. Stages of development of mutual relations between Russia and China are considered. The first stage refers to the activities of Jiang Zemin, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China from 1989 to 2002 and the President of the People's Republic of China from 1993 to 2003. The second stage of bilateral relations is connected with the activities of Hu Jintao, Chairman of the PRC from 2003 to 2013 and General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee from 2002 to 2012. The third stage in the development of the relationship between Russia and China is related to the activities of Xi Jinping, Chairman of the PRC since 2013, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China since 2012. The specifics of these relations are described against the backdrop of the emergence of a new world order. It is concluded that the successes achieved so far in political and economic cooperation can not continue to develop deeply and dynamically unless they reach the level of intercivilizational interaction. A description of the process of transition to this level is proposed.
