The relationship of global competitiveness indices: an economic and statistical analysis

At the present time, global changes are taking place in the geopolitical situation, and issues of competition between territories are becoming more acute. International indexes and ratings are becoming key tools for assessing the socio-economic development of countries and regions. Today, there are many global indexes and ratings reflecting the competitiveness of territories. The issue of choosing a reliable index that would show the most relevant information becomes relevant. The purpose of the study is to analyze global methods for assessing the competitiveness of territories in order to determine by economic and statistical methods the most reliable and stable index for assessing the competitiveness of territories and its verification. The object of the research is the rating indicators of the Russian Federation in the competitiveness indices and their components. The subject of the study is the relationship between global ratings and their components. We hypothesize that different methods for assessing the competitiveness of territories contain important components that allow territories to build on and develop despite global variability and volatility.
