The relationship between economic and social problems during the implementation of the new economic policy (on the example of the Arzamas district of Nizhny Novgorod province)

In this paper, using the example of the Arzamas district of Nizhny Novgorod province, the author analyzes the relationship of economic and social problems during the implementation of the new economic policy. The main difficulties faced by the local authorities in the transition period are announced in the article. Characteristics of the essential crisis across the country in those years, its negative impact on the economic and social life of the Arzamas district were also analyzed by the author. On the example of the public education of the Arzamas district the author clearly reveals how the economic crisis impacts on the field of public activities.
