The relationship between personal space and the success of social adaptation of migrants

Бесплатный доступ

This article examines how personal space affects the process of social adaptation of migrants. The perception and understanding of personal space may differ in different cultures, which sometimes becomes an obstacle in communication between migrants. When they face a threat to their personal space, it can cause stress, isolation from society, and even aggression. Respect for cultural peculiarities and personal space needs is the key to comfortable integration. The support of local communities and educational programs help to smooth out cultural differences and facilitate the adaptation process. Successful adaptation not only improves the psycho-emotional state, but also contributes to the formation of a sense of belonging to society, which in turn leads to harmonious coexistence and mutual understanding between people.
