Correlation of psychological defense mechanisms with coping strategies of first-year students

The use of psychological defense mechanisms and coping strategies in overcoming of difficult life situations contributes to the stabilization of mental activity and has a positive impact on a person. In turn, this process influences study at higher school and professional development of a student. The article deals with manifestation of psychological defense mechanisms and coping strategies of first-year higher school students. Also, the authors consider the correlation of these mechanisms.
