A look at the periodization of the development of education on criminalistic characteristics of crimes

The article attempts to build a periodization of the development of the doctrine of the forensic characterization of crimes, as a key element of the methodology for investigating criminally punishable delicts. The views on the essence and content of the concepts “forensic characteristics of crimes”, “forensic model of crimes”, “information model of crimes” and “typical information model of crimes” are analyzed. The author’s approach to the content of the category “model of crimes” is presented.
