State regulation of interregional complex specialized in animal products processing

The purpose of the study is to substantiate the structure of animal products processing complex. In addition to animal husbandry, this complex includes industrial sectors, which process animal husbandry raw materials, engineering industry that manufacture equipment for such raw materials, agricultural commodities procurement, the logistic system for purveyors and processors of raw materials. The research proves that the complex should be developed in a particular area of the country, preferably in a certain federal district. Based on the comparison of economic development indicators in federal districts, the author identifies that the complex under review is more relevant for Siberian Federal District as it has the largest areas of agricultural land. It reveals its significant potential for animal husbandry. The paper identifies the prerequisites for this complex development in the above-mentioned district. The study proves that it is necessary to design state program for interregional complex specialized in animal products processing in Siberian Federal District.
