Substantial influence of high doses of heavy metals is shown on activity of soil enzymes. On the territory of the collective garden «Ranet» and the 9th kilometes of Spirtzavodskoy highway the index of activity of enzyme was 7.0 mg, where the least contaminations are marked the lowest pollution by cadmium - 0.5 mg / kg, and lead - 18 mg / kg. In contrast, the enzyme activity is low in areas with high metal content. Lead, cadmium suppressed processes of a proteoliz in the urbanized soils. Activity of these enzymes can be used for diagnostics of soils and extent of pollution by its heavy metals.
