Formation of undergrowth in the beech forests in the mountainous Crimea

The peculiarities of the natural renewal of beech forests in the mountainous Crimea are given: regularities in the formation of beech growth, depending on the type of forest growth conditions, exposure and steepness of the slope, the height of the terrain above sea level, the closeness of the canopy, the size of the "window" in canopy, the age and the completeness of the parent stand. Practical recommendations for carrying out reforestation activities in beech forests of the mountainous Crimea are given.
