Western individual: from intelligent freedom to rational egoism

The article studies the tendencies of the western freedom development, as well as the consequences of that process and its impact on a human being and a society. The author shows, that the reason of destruction in the modern western society is not a surplus of freedom, but the introduction of entrepreneurial ethos in mass strata, the value system of an economic human, the spreading of market rules of game on the nonmarket areas of life.
