The origin of women’s movement in Polish lands in the XIX-th century

The article analyses the origin of Womens movement in Polish lands in the XIX century. The struggle of women for equal rights with men which began in the Polish society, became a part of the first wave of feminism in the whole world. The author compares womens status in all three areas of Polish lands of separated landsof Rzeczpospolita, analyses the pioneers activity. The paper uses original historical sources including materials little known in Russian historiography.
