Foreign museums of the Russian Orthodox Church

The article provides an overview of the museum activities of religious organizations of the Russian Orthodox Church outside the Russian Federation. For the first time, the formation of the museum network of the Russian Orthodox Church is considered as a holistic phenomenon with a complex nature. The chronological sequence of the creation of church museums in neighboring countries and the Far Abroad is determined, the main trends in their development are identified, and the methods of collecting funds and key areas of exposition work are outlined.
