Foreign experience of the transport policy

The article reviews experience of the foreign countries in conducting of the measures aimed at the providing of the comfortable and available public passenger transport. It touches upon the passenger transportation advancements in the EU countries (Germany, the UK, Belgium), transport systems of China and the USA, and adduces the share of the car transport in the total passenger turnover in the developed countries. The research results proves the successful foreign experience in formation of the optimal transport infrastructure contributing to the improvement of the living standards of the population. The author discusses in particular such a widely used variant of the public transport financing as a public private partnership, which may be considered as a good example for the Russian national transport system. The obtained data on the foreign experience may be implemented in the Russian transport policy development.
