Copyright protection for scientific works and the concept of "uniqueness of scientific work"

The article reveals the concept of «uniqueness of scientific work», which belongs to the field of copyright. Understanding of this term solves an urgent legal issue related to the transition of Russian universities to work with the «Anti-Plagiarism» system to ensure the uniqueness of the scientific works published by the authors. According to the idea of «the uniqueness of scientific work» allows us to reliably determine that the author's thoughts have not been voiced by anyone before in the Russian-language scientific and information field, are his intellectual property. However, this definition is not given in the current legislation on copyright protection.
