The state border protection: legal nature and doctrinal characteristic

The article considers conceptual approaches to the content and nature of the key term of the study - “state border” in con- junction with the concept “state territory” and state “sovereignty”, there is revealed the legal nature, their important signs are analyzed; there is carried out a brief historical analysis of the formation process of the state border; the necessity of further improvement of the conception of a system of the state border protection of the Russian Federation and legal support of this conception realization is proved in the article.
