Protect the rights of workers near retirement age introduced into the Criminal Code article 144.1

For the purpose of protection of the rights of workers of pre-retirement age the criminal code of the Russian Federation is added with article 144.1 providing responsibility for unreasonable refusal in employment of the person for reasons of achievement of pre-retirement age, and also unreasonable dismissal from work of such person for the same reasons. The authors of the article studied the reasons for the decision to amend the criminal code on this issue; discussed the relationship between managers and age workers after the pension reform; from the social and criminal-legal positions the prospects of application of the specified norm in practice are analyzed.
