The dependence of the size of the state academic scholarship on the average performance of university students

The article examines a comprehensive system of regulatory and legal regulation of scholarship payments to students of higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation. The purpose of the study is to analyze the system of scholarship payments to students, to determine the reasons for differences in scholarship amounts between universities. Special attention is paid to the process of forming a scholarship fund used for awarding state academic scholarships. Numerous aspects affecting the amount of scholarships are considered, including student academic performance indicators. An in-depth analysis of the relationship between the amount of scholarships awarded and the educational outcomes of students is carried out using the examples of several leading Russian universities. The issue of the effectiveness of the existing mechanisms for the allocation of scholarship funds and possible directions for their improvement is also raised. The scientific novelty lies in a more in-depth analysis of the mechanism of the scholarship fund formation. Various payments to students in higher educational institutions are considered.
