Dependence of green plantings noise-protective properties on the season

It is established that by comparison of a sound level to sanitary standards from 57 measurements, both on equivalent, and on maximum level during the summer period 11 measurements, 3 - in spring and 6 - in winter, in 8 measurements in the summer, 16 - meet standards in the spring, 13 - excess of admissible level of sound pressure was observed in the winter. It is revealed that in most cases the distance between trees is 1,5-2 m less, than that demand corresponding Construction Norms and Regulations. Many strips of plantings are located on the average 1 m closer to the carriageway. The most considerable noise-protective ability has the mixed plantings at which vertical structure there are some circles: wood, underbrush and subgrowth. Higher rates of noise protection are reached by a combination of such characteristics of plantings, as storeyed structure, density of kroner, width and average height of planting. During the periods of lack of green material the role of these characteristics is considerably lowered.
