Green cutting of lonicera species

The vegetative propagation of 6 ornamental Lonicera species by green cuttings in the Mari El Republic was studied. The highest percentage of cuttings rooting identified in the variant with the use of “Kornevin” compared with the control. But the factor of species specificity had the greatest influence on the values of rooted cuttings. Lonicera nigra was characterized by the highest percentage of rooting cuttings, Lonicera alpigena - the smallest one. The average values of root system length of the cuttings were more in the variant with “Kornevin”, but the difference in the experimental variants is statistically insignificant.
