«Green corridors» as biodiversity maintaining factor in urbanized landscapes

On an example of cities from different natural zones it is shown that «green corridors» (coast of rivers and channels, embankments and forest belts along motor-roads and railways, etc.) promote to penetration from suburbs the native types to the central areas of urbanized territories, serve as experience stations for such types, than support the common biological diversity in the cities.
