The usage of article forms in presenting journalistic investigation materials

This article shows how journalists use the genre of article in the course of investigation. The most popular genre modification of an article in investigative journalism is practical and analytical (as classified by A.A. Tertychnyi). Within the journalistic investigation framework the usage of the aforementioned modification is firstly intended to highlight the existence of a problem situation, to prove it with facts and logic and, secondly, when identifying the reasons behind the negative scenario, to possibly name the culprits and draw up a forecast. As a form of representing the journalistic investigation findings the article is more often used when the main search activities have been finished and the gathered facts bear evidence of a certain negative trend. At the same time the investigative article is always localized within a relatively limited area of reality and is similar to correspondence in this regard. The article reveals how investigators solve the problem of logical reasoning versus sufficient evidence within the article genre.
