Attempts to understanding individual creativity of the authors of the Russian Diaspora in the second half of the XX century A. Genis and P. Weill, which has a pronounced orientation of laughter. Identified and characterized the features of the genre and thematic identity of journalism and literary criticism authors of the period of emigration. Examines works of major genre forms and articles, essays, feature stories, published in émigré press.
