Genre features of Buryat historical drama: results, problems, prospects of research

The article deals with the analysis of the experience of the Buryat drama on a historical theme in the genre aspects, presented in the works of Buryat literary scholars. T. B. Savinova's dissertation «Genre features of the Buryat historical dramatic art of the second half of 20th - the beginning of the 21st centuries» is presented in the review. T. B. Savinova masters experience of the analysis of the drama in the Russian literary criticism and for the first time comprehends almost 100-year way of development of the Buryat drama on a historical subject in genre aspects. It finds genre tendencies which at different stages of development not only pull together, but also distinguish the Buryat drama from the Russian. Work of the young scientist has scientific interest. Its value is defined both undoubted results of the analysis, and the found problems in studying of the drama in general, and new prospects of judgment of experience of the Buryat playwrights.
