Railway construction in the Transbaikal region in the records of military governors (late 19th - early 20th centuries)

The article analyzes archival documents - most humble reports and official memoranda of military governors - that reflect current issues related to the construction and maintenance of the Transbaikal Railway. These documents, being of an official nature, served as one of the mechanisms of interaction between central authorities and the region, facilitating communication. Information from these official documents enabled the analysis of events associated with the emergence of the railway in the area and provided a description of construction phases on the Transbaikal section.
