The article presents an attempt to determine the posture of contemporary philosophy in relation to Hegel as a person, who completed the classical form of the philosophy. On the one hand, the 20 th century thinkers try to overthrow the system of Hegel and find the new ways for the deployment of discourse, but on the other hand, they understand that his speculative view is substantial. This explains obsessive ambiguities concerning the German classic and ambivalent feelings about his system. Horrified by the tension of the concept and not daring to dive into the historical philosophical process, the contemporary spirit is not actually contemporary and far from being post-Hegelian.
