The situation in the housing sector and the provision of housing for the population is one of the key factors affecting the level and dynamics of the main demographic indicators. The social stability of society, the unemployment rate, labor mobility and other factors largely depend on the availability of high-quality housing stock to meet modern requirements, which are expressed in the possibility of buying a home. Existing data on the cost of selling apartments in the primary real estate market in Russia as a whole, as well as statistics in the context of the federal districts of the Russian Federation, allows us to predict the availability of housing for residents based on purchasing power. In addition, based on the assessment of existing prices, it is possible to indirectly assess the priority of migration movements of the population within Russia.
