The article reviews the housing conflicts and the emotional range of the inhabitants of the municipalized housing in the early Soviet period by case study of the South of Russia. The article analyzes the housing policy of the Soviet government, the reasons and forms of housing conflicts. Special attention is paid to the emotional range of the urban provincial everyman. As a result of the sources analysis, the author proves the interrelation between the relationship of neighbours and their emotional world.
