Livestock and fishery of the Kursk region: trends and prospects for development

Livestock and fish farming are among the industries that are not only sources of strategically important products (meat, milk, honey, wool, aquaculture production), but also allow to address part of the social objectives of rural development, providing local population with qualified jobs. Kursk oblast has excellent climatic conditions for successful development of agriculture. Currently, the livestock, along with crop continue to remain as the leading profitable areas of the agricultural sector and the main drivers of growth of the economy of the Kursk region.
