Life of the professor of the Saint Petersburg Orthodox Theological Academy Ivan Alekseevich Karabinov (1878-1937)

This article describes the life of Ivan Alexeyevich Karabinov who was the outstanding liturgist of the early 20th century, professor of the Saint Petersburg Orthodox Theological Academy of the Liturgy department and a Master of Divinity. The article discusses his childhood, his studies at religious schools and archaeological institutes, research and teaching activities as well as his fate after the revolution. The 232article also includes biographical information on the students who have studied at the Theological Academy and wrote their candidate’s works under the direction of I.A. Karabinov.
