Ogonyok magazine of the perestroika period: typological features

This article discusses the typological features of the magazine "Ogonyok". The history of the magazine's formation and growth of its popularity with the reader is traced. A comparison of its image during the work of various editors is given. The author substantiates the idea that during perestroika Ogonyok becomes a national magazine with a multi-million readership.
