The journal “Modern notes” in the aspect of typology of the periodicals of the Russian emigration of the “first wave”

The article discusses the main stages of the creation of one of the largest “thick” magazines in the history of Russian journalism - the journal “Modern Notes” (1920- 1940). At the same time, the history of the magazine fits both into the broad picture of the history of journalism of Russian emigration and into the paradigm of its typological characteristics. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the ideology and editorial policy of the “Modern Notes”, as well as the characteristics of the texts printed in the journal.
