Scientific libraries journal's collections and their role in scientific research providing

The article deals with the problems of forming the journal Fund of the academic library in the conditions of an increasingly wide distribution of full-text licensed electronic resources of remote access. For example, Library for natural Sciences of RAS considered in complex three component parts of the Library: traditional print journals, remote access electronic resources - Russian (based on portal eLibrary.ru), foreign (on the basis of the program "National digital library)". It is noted that the replenishment of the traditional Fund of the scientific library is mainly due to the mandatory copy, international book exchange and gifts. For each component, the composition, time intervals of availability, and scientific level of incoming journals are evaluated. The composition of the journal Fund is analyzed in detail, both for Russian and foreign journals, and their reflection in the bibliometric databases Web of Science Core Collection and Scopus is shown. Shows the importance of providing foreign information resources in the framework of the National subscription, illustrates the activity of LNS in the use of these resources in the information support of specialists from scientific institutions of the RAS. It is indicated that the scientific library in the new conditions retains its significant role in the overall system of providing journal information for scientific research. The main direction in information and library support of scientific research in the field of natural Sciences is the use of electronic resources both licensed and open access, and in relation to scientific libraries, the expansion and optimization of the content of the virtual part of the Fund, including electronic access to Russian scientific journals.
