It is a well-known fact that the role of the main driving force of the market economy is given to competition. The main factor in increasing the efficiency of the country's economic potential is to increase competitiveness. The article describes two types of competitive advantage, which can be a leading company, and the factors that determine belonging to one of them. Also considered are the types of competition and the importance of choosing strategies for the company's actions, based on the current market situation, which would be the solution to the problem on the way to achieving this goal in the short and long term.
