Significance of prime numbers’ generation in the asymmetric encryption systems

The article is dedicated to the specificity of using of generating prime numbers' methods of data protection in the asymmetric encryption systems. The most frequently used methods of generating prime numbers and the nature of their using in the field of information security are considered. The analysis of the scientific literature on the research topic is realized, which acts as an information basis.
