The author discusses the various aspects of the transition from the current land legislation of the system of categories of lands to the zoning of territories, actively discussed in the present time, scientists and specialists. Highlights the key provisions which, in the opinion of the author of the article, should be taken into account during the introduction of the Institute of zoning.
