The article deals with the basic peculiarities and the possibilities of Zoos and Oceanariums in the conservation of biological diversity, in the development of ecological world-outlook, their role in the sphere of ecological scientific and educational tourism. There are given the facts of the relevant status of Zoos and Oceanariums in Russia.
