Dental practices in the Russian Far East and Transbaikalia in the context of soviet social policy, 1923-1929

The article analyzes dental care organization and provision activities of the local Soviet authorities in the Russian Far East, as well as quality and accessibility of dental care to different groups of the population in 1923-1929. Despite the populist statements of the government about creating public free of charge dental care of high quality, in practice these principles were not implemented. State dental care was regulated by class approach of the Soviet social policy that was aimed at providing medical assistance to certain categories of the population.
