2-undecyloxyethanol-1 - aggregation pheromone of black pine beetles of genus Monochamus: synthesis and testing

2-Undecyloxyethanol-1 - the aggregation pheromone of longhorn beetle of genus Monochamus - was synthesized by Williamson's reaction. First field tests to at- tract black pine beetles in the traps carried out in the national park "Buzuluk- sky Forest" of Orenburg region in 2012 were successful.
